Day 1: Casablanca

Day 2: Rabat – Meknes

Our departure will be early to Rabat, which is considered as the capital of the country since 1912 by French during their protectorate. Rabat is where most of the embassies are situated. Its clean streets, organized traffic give the city different beauty. In Rabat we visit Hassan Tower which is the Minaret of an incomplete mosque and the Mausoleum of Mohammed V. This site was added to UNESCO world heritage in July 1995. A short break for lunch before we head to beautiful ruins called Chellah. It is a medieval fortified Muslim necropolis; The Phoenicians established a trading emporium at the site. After the abundance of this site during the Almohads era it was rebuilt by the Meridians, the ruins of the medieval fortress are still extant. We continue our drive towards Meknes where we stay the night and get ready to another impressive day.

 


 

Day 3: Meknes – Volubilis-fes

Meet your guide after breakfast and start to explore the city. Meknes is one of the imperial cities that was built by Moulay Ismail and turned to the capital of the country in the 17th century. Visit Herri Swani that was once a royal granary and horse stables, you will also see the mausoleum of the founder of the city Moulay Ismail. Then pass through the triumphal arch and enter Place El-Hedime, the Square of Ruins, which links between the modern residential buildings and a covered food souk.

We may have lunch at one of the local restaurants if it’s preferred. After we visit Meknes we take the road to the roman ruins volubilis which is one of Morocco’s most significant places of archaeological interest, known locally as Oualili Just 30 kilometers outside of Meknes, Discover the fascinating Roman ruins adorned with beautiful mosaics and colorful tiles depicting Roman mythology. In the late afternoon we head to Fes where we stay the night.

 


 

Day 4 : Fes city tour

At 9am, enjoy the guided city tour of Fes. Begin with the entrance to the largest royal palace in Morocco. Continue with a panoramic view of the ancient medina. Enjoy an authentic experience at the traditional ceramic crafts village of Fes. your next stop is Fes El Bali, the ancient town or Medina, which is a medieval part of Fes that has not changed for centuries. Optional lunch at a local restaurant. Visit the famous AlKaraouine mosque, built by Fatima Al Fihria in 857. the mosque became home to the University of Al-Karaouine, which is the first continuous university in the world and the world’s foremost center of learning at the beginning of the second millennium. The university was built by Fatima Al Fihria in 859, and, since then, it has become one of the leading spiritual and educational centers of the Muslim world. In the medina, visit also the Merdersa, which is a Coranic school. You end the city tour of Fes with the leather Souq in the oldest Leather Tannery in the world. The tannery dates back at least nine centuries.

 


 

Day 5 : Fes – Ben El Ouidan

Bin el Ouidane is your destination today. You will drive approximately 7 hours in a comfortable private van, with frequent stops along the way, and witness the beautiful and ever-changing Moroccan landscape as well as snow, rural life. On many occasions you will have a chance to buy fresh local fruits and vegetables, which are mostly grown in nearby villages. Today you will also experience the art of tea-making. Join a local family for a cup of truly delicious mint tea and share a home-cooked lunch with them too. Bin el Ouidane is a small settlement beautifully placed on the bank of the lake, surrounded by sheer rocks. Take a moment to sit back and enjoy the calm…

 


 

Day 6 : Ben El Ouidan – Marrakech

Today you will drive to Marrakech. There’s no rush because the drive is not too long. The scenery on the way is always interesting, and you will enjoy a stop en route at Ouzoud Falls. Spend some time admiring these multi-tiered falls, then continue to Marrakech. On arrival in Marrakech you will check in to your beautiful riad, or Moroccan mansion. This evening, why not head to the great square of Jemaa el-Fna, one of the largest public spaces in the world and unique to Marrakech.

 


 

Day 7 : Marrakech city tour

Today is your discovery day, after breakfast, meet your guide at your accommodation and start your adventure tour from the Bahia Palace that is one of the best-preserved historical sites and certainly most interesting in Marrakech. Built in the late 19th century by Si Moussa, Grand Vizier of the Sultan, a former slave who climbed the ranks, originally built for the personal use of Si Moussa, to be occupied, soon after, by his son Bou Ahmed.

Stop by the great pride and landmark of Marrakech, the Koutoubia Mosque that was Built by the Almohads in the late 12th Century; its famous minaret is the prototype for others of its kind around the world, including Hassan Tower in Rabat and La Giralda in Seville.

Jamaa El Fena Square is located in the opposite side of the Koutoubia Mosque which is worth to visit and enjoy in it. Nobody knows for certain of the origin of this square probably as old as the city itself, it is a place for public executions during the day, and the meeting point of musicians, mystics, food sellers, pickpockets, acrobats, snake charmers, storytellers, dancers, fortune tellers and other exotic characters at night.

Majorel Gardens will be optional to visit after lunch, otherwise; you enjoy the rest of the day exploring more in the souks and have a beautiful sunset view from the terrace of one of the famous cafe shops in the square.


 

Day 8 : Airport
